Some families can push through the financial burden of every week and only need assistance during major Yomim Tovim, but some can’t even make it through the week. Children show up to school without having eaten, parents are reduced to ask the grocer for old produce. These families receive weekly boxes filled with household basics, meat, fish and produce. They also receive coupons and checks that they can redeem at their local grocery. As these fighting men and women soldier on to show up for their family, they can rest assured that R’ Ephraim will be behind them, whenever they need.

A hardworking widow in Bnei Brak received weekly coupons from Oneg Shabbos V’Yom Tov for many months. At one point she stopped requested help, and the management assumed that she no longer needed assistance.

One morning, as R’ Ephraim was walking to shacharis, he thought that he would check in with her, maybe she does need help.

In shock, she tells him that she really does need help. She’s at a point where she doesn’t know how she can make it through one more day. She decided to wake up before her children to daven to Hashem and ask him for his help. She was just about to complete Sefer Tehillim when R’ Ephraim called!
